This new Douglas observation aircraft landed once at Tucson, Thursday, February 4, 1926. It was flown solo by Major Frank M. Andrews. Based at San Antonio, TX Kelly Field, he was eastbound from San Diego, CA back to San Antonio. Please direct your browser to Andrews' link in order to learn about the context of this flight.
Below, courtesy of the San Diego Aerospace Museum (SDAM), is a photograph of 25-351. The date was January 17, 1926; the location is unknown, but is probably somewhere on the west coast since the photo was taken about two weeks before Andrews flew it east.
