FORD 29-226

This big Ford trimotor landed once at Tucson, Saturday, August 17, 1929 at 9:30AM. It was flown by Lt. Ivan M. Palmer. He carried a single passenger, Gene Lassater. Based at Ft. Crockett, TX, they arrived from Ft. Huachuca, AZ. They departed at 10:15AM the same day for Prescott, AZ. No reason was given by Palmer in the Register for the purpose of their flight.

The Ford transports were designated as C-9 by the Army. The photograph, below, of 29-226 is from the National Museum of the Air Force, date unknown.
