          | ANTHONY H.G. FOKKER

                | Anthony Fokker landed as a passenger at Tucson Friday, June 22, 1928. His pilot was Thomas
                  J. Fowler. Fokker flew with his wife as fellow passenger. They arrved at Tucson in the Fokker F-10 NC5614. Based at Los Angeles, CA, they were eastbound to Chicago, IL. An excellent article from Popular Aviation, July, 1934 is at the link. The article provides a biography of Fokker with photographs of him and a couple of his airplanes. The article focuses mostly on his production of aircraft for WWI. Fokker landed at Willow Grove, PA at Pitcairn Field on May 12, 1928, about five weeks before we find him at Tucson. More information and a photograph are at the link. There are 475 landings logged by Fokker aircraft in the Registers of Delta Mike Airfield, Inc. A rare video of one of them, the Fokker Super Universal NC126M, is available at the link. Another (color!) video of Fokker Universal NC3317 is available at the link (scroll down about a third of the page). ---o0o---   THIS PAGE UPLOADED: 09/16/14 REVISED: | | |
